The endowed Professorial Chairs and Scholarship will not only recognise Makerere’s illustrious alumni and professors, but will also help generate considerable resources directly benefiting the faculties, institutes and Department.
Support field attachments and internships of Makerere students in as many private sector firms as possible building on a standing offer from Uganda Industrial Research Institute.
Invite and host prominent private sector and policy leaders in MakerereUniversity through MUPSF. These include: CEOs and heads of public sector policy institutions: Ambassadors and Heads of Donor countries and institutions based in Uganda; East Africa Business and strategic Thinkers and Practitioners; strategic leaders from such multilateral institutions as the World Bank and IMF visiting Uganda and the East African region from time to time
Organise public lectures and debates on pertinent private sector or policy issues.
Support the development of the Makerere Africa Institute of Sustainability.
Support the development of the Centre for Social Enterprise (CSE). The CSE will stimulate the creation and growth of many social enterprises towards an inclusive economy.
